A class record that computes the new grade
Enter the scores once. Written/Oral Works, Product/Performance Tasks and Examinations are weighted for the learning area you are teaching, the term grade comes out at the bottom, and the same numbers fill the report card and the permanent record without being typed again.

What changed in June
DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026 was issued on 4 June 2026 and takes effect this school year. It repeals DO 8, s. 2015 — the order most of the spreadsheets in circulation were built for.
3 terms, not four quarters
The school year is divided into 3 terms. A record with four quarter columns is recording a year that no longer exists, and nothing carried forward from it lines up.
Written/Oral Works
Written Work now includes oral work and is named for it. Recitation and oral questioning belong in this component rather than being counted somewhere else or not at all.
Examinations
What DO 8 called Quarterly Assessment. Inside it: Summative Test 1 at 30%, Summative Test 2 at 30%, and the term examination at 40% — one rule for every learning area in Grades 4 to 10.
Product/Performance Tasks
Still the largest component in every learning area, and larger again in the skills subjects. What the class actually did carries the grade.
The weights, per learning area
Two groups, not the Languages-versus-Science-and-Maths split the old order used. Choose the learning area and the record applies the right one; there is nothing to remember.

The part that catches people out
Transmutation is transitional, and it is the reason two teachers can enter identical scores and disagree about the grade.
SY 2026-2027 transmutes
This school year the initial grade goes through the adjusted transmutation table — Annex D, Table 4 of the order. GuroSuite carries all 41 rows of it, checked line by line against the signed issuance.
From SY 2027-2028 it does not
Grades 4 to 12 report the initial grade untransmuted. The same raw scores therefore produce a different report-card grade in the two years, which is exactly the sort of thing a spreadsheet copied from a colleague gets wrong silently.
The record knows which year it is
Every computation is told the policy year, so a record opened for last year and one opened for this year each use their own rule. You are never asked to pick.
75 is still the pass
Unchanged, and applied per learning area. A learner below it in any area is flagged on the at-risk list with the number that put her there, rather than being found at the end of the year.
Then it stops being retyped
The grade computed here is the grade on every form that needs it. That is the actual saving — not the arithmetic, which a calculator can do, but never entering the same number twice.
